Crystal, 0-1, K

Billy Crystal led off for the Yankees and struck out. He was pulled for Johnny Damon in the 3rd.

His number (60) will likely not be retired.
I am about 25% sure of this.

"Someone" said that because I think it is very cool that he got to do this, that means I am not a real baseball fan.

I feel real to me.

I'm truly amazed he wasn't beaned. If I were pitching, I'd have been throwing at his head the whole at-bat, and if I were coaching, I'd have called for it on every pitch.

He was facing former 2-time Merry Man sucky pitcher Paul Maholm, who couldn't hit the catcher's mitt if it was on his non-pitching hand, let alone Crystal's noggin'....

Google "Molina" "Christensen" "Wichita State"

Do you like criminal charges and multi-million dollar lawsuits?

It's the Pirates. No one has that kind of money on the Bucco squad.

It's a 'Burgh thing. We get no respect, no respect at all. And maybe that's deserved, but there's something about rubbing our noses in it....
