Transcript 1/11/2013 - Robert Ziecik (carryover contestant)

#1 Post by BBTranscriptTeam » Mon Jan 14, 2013 6:14 pm

Robert Ziecik
Chicago, IL

It's the end of "Cruise In and Win" week.

Robert has already won the cruise. Meredith reprises Robert's back story. He didn't speak English as a child (Polish was spoken at home). He watched a lot of TV - Sesame Street, Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood, game shows and daytime TV. He basically learned at the same time his father did. Robert works in advertising. He has $22,000 in his bank and two lifelines - one JTQ and his ATA - remaining.

Being from Chicago Robert is leaning toward that, but public nudity is banned there - and everywhere. Meredith says "not here" and Robert replies "Are you asking me to take off my clothes?" I'd love to visit this museum. FWIW there really is not a 221B Baker Street; the address was created in order to take advantage of the tourist interest.

Too bad - he actually said the answer but then wouldn't risk it.

A surprisingly easy $100K question for me. I knew the World's Fair was in NYC in 1939 (the trylon and perisphere shown in "Men in Black" were built for that event). I even knew that it was LaGuardia who presided over the hearing.

What a shame. Robert focused on the incredibly obscure trivia that nobody is aware of, overlooking the bigger picture: those other services have aircraft, but they don't have aircraft carriers.

The only one I can eliminate is St. Louis because of the year. JTQ
