Wow. Is it me, or are the stacks a little easier? This is the second stack in less than a week where I'd have $100k in hand with two JTQ lifelines remaining. I think that's happened maybe once or twice before since they started the new format. --Bob

How can this be the hardest question in the stack? Everyone's heard of Sam Houston, and none of the others are even Texans! I suppose that, once again, TBTB are out to prove that the unrandomized stack has no hidden meaning.

Well, Davy Crockett was an adopted Texan...but by the same token, he's famous as such because he died at the Alamo, long before 1861.

As an alternative to your theory about random unrandomized stacks, I interpret these few WWOQ-free stacks differently: TPTB deliberate throw in a few softballs each season, so that there are some big winners to air during sweeps.

Here's an article about Debbie's appearance.

http://www.thecolumbiastar.com/news/201 ... _a_Mi.html
Daniel’s 95 year-old aunt ( Jeanette Gleaves, aka “Net”) used to watch Millionaire every day from the assisted living home where she lived. Daniel used to visit her around the time “Millionaire” airs locally and watched the show with her. Daniel’s aunt convinced her to audition for the show, which was taped in mid- September. Unfortunately, Daniel’s aunt passed away recently, just a few weeks prior to the airing of the episode.
RIP, Aunt Jeanette.

It's just one more of those things out of our control. Besides trying to please the arbitrary casting desires of TPTB, you've got to hope that they then cast you for one of those rare, softball stacks.

Thailand has a king and evidently he's very popular because the Prime Minister has received a lot of public criticism for his failure to accord the monarch the proper respect.

I was expecting aspirin to be one of the choices. Of the four, I'd have gone with the one that related to "stand up straight" (Millionaire continues its efforts to "sex up" the show).

Coincidentally this company was featured on "Shark Tank" recently (the week before the Millionaire show, IIRC). The founder used the same comparison. I don't think he was able to persuade any of the sharks to inivest.

Amazing. I'd have been going for $250K with all my lifelines. That should get me to the $1M question.

Curious that you're the second BB to make this comment. If Davy Crockett didn't earn the title of "Texan" at the Alamo, what else could possibly do so? (Before you mention birth certificates, I'll mention that Sam Houston was born in Virginia.)

Yeah, but in 1861 he was a dead "Texan".

I couldn't find evidence of this. However, she has been criticized for making goo-goo eyes at Pres. Obama.

Well I wouldn't call him a Texan, but if he is considered one, then he was a dead one.
