The Propane People
Have to come inside.
Seems they have to check for leaks and re-light the pilot light.

I am impressed as well.kayrharris wrote:It's nice to know they're doing their job correctly. It also looks like you got pretty prompt service. I'm impressed anyway.
I had been annoyed that they come to fill the tanks and the cost of the propane is 1/4 of what the minimum fee is for coming. I wanted to cancel them coming and have them come only when we call that we need propane.
They said they can't as someone needs to be accountable for the hook up and some such. I was annoyed and wanted to make a stink. I was talked out of it as 'they are local and know us".
I am now very happy I didn't so it.

I'm glad they are fixing it the right way.
Propane is generally a pretty safe substance, however, it can be scary too.
I once had to go through HAZMAT training because I used to work at a refinery a lot. And I was one of the emergency reponse peoples (likely not to have to actually do the scary stuff, but just doing the legal thingies).
In any event, they showed up this video of what happens when propane containers get overheated. Basically, they act like a missle. It's something that firefighters are concerned with when going to people's houses because those things can fly through walls.
Even when it doesn't catch on fire, propane can be a bad deal if it isn't connected properly. But I'm sure they mentioned that.

Seems our 'system' is screwed and we need a new one. Besides, the squirrels had ruined the connectors. We lost over $250 worth of propane.
They will be bringing a new and improved system tomorrow.

I just got a great idea.
Next time I have a little time, I'm going go around knocking on doors. If a lady answers, I'm gonna say that I'm one of the Profane People.
Soon as she lets me in, I'll start cussing and stuff.
If she complains, I'll just say that I never said she had to let me in or anything, sorry for the misunderstanding, and all that.
Might be a good icebreaker.

Gas problems? Again?
