It was truly a Heatonesque performance, but much less annoying. This segment was highly edited:

That was one where you're just praying someone in the audience is merciful enough to shout something. Absolutely painful to watch. This is the capital-N Nightmare in its purest form: terrified of making a stupid mistake and getting the first one wrong, then making a stupid mistake and getting the first one wrong.

She could probably do this easily at home. Explains why some contestants waste a lifeline on an easy first question.

With the new format, it's kind of amazing and awesome how willing the writers have been to expose just how incredibly and cliche-istically weak Americans are at basic math.
In this town, don't we love it now, everbody's waiting for the next surprise!

SOME Americans. And since they only allow Americans on the show, maybe you should say some people. I think most people on this board would consider this question a gift of free money.

Doing math under pressure can be tough for some, and Nikki is one of them, it seems. I couldn't understand her reasoning after stating 6x6=36.

I just noticed that Chad titled the clip "Math Is Hard." Okay, that was slightly sarcastic. But totally appropriate.

6 times 17 = 102, plenty. B, final answer.
