Answer: B (Daytona 800)

OK, let's figure this out. I dunno a quick conversion from kilometers into miles, but I do know that a 10K = 6.2 miles, about 3/5. So 3 X 800 = 2,400, divided by 5 = a little less than 500, but 6.2 is a little more than 6, so that's about right. Double checking, 3 X 900 = 2,700, divided by 5 = way more than 500. B, final answer.

MatiasMom would know this without the choices. I JTQ.
Question #8 (Over the Hump - Level 5)

A - Monticello
B - Empire State Building
C - The Alamo
D - The Pentagon

Chad can't think of what Monticello is. He knows the Alamo is a building and the Pentagon is "a big square". Meredith reminds Chad of where he is. He decides to walk away.
Spoiler
Answer: C (The Alamo)
I've seen hundreds of photos of the Empire State Building and the Pentagon, and no facade and no hump. Monticello has a distinctive dome which might be called a hump, but it's certainly not part of a facade. I wouldn't describe the Alamo's facade a having a hump, but it does fit. Alamo, final answer.

Not a great stack for me, already down the ATA and one JTQ.

This would have been a little harder if they had included another Italian among the answers. But "ultima" = "last" and "cine" = "supper" so it was no problem for me.

A kilometer is 5/8 of a mile. If you know that, the rest is easy. So Chad is two lifelines down after the first 2 questions.

I guessed rightly, but had I been at the Blackjack Table I'd have used ATA. Maybe I need to read the shoe threads here.

I tested with him. In fact, we both sat together waiting for our first and second interviews. He was wearing a Maryland Terrapin t-shirt. We talked about the questions/answers on the test and it seemed that he correctly answered just enough to pass the test. I thought he'd have a good chance to be selected as a contestant. He was very outgoing. The APs seem to cater to younger contestants. I had two excellent interviews and still got the :( card. I think I have too many things going against me.

Wanna know the best thing about him?

That red shirt he was wearing underneath his button-up?

It said Chad is Rad.

Indeed.

I was hoping the new BB who calls himself Captain Obvious would be the one to say this.
