Comment on the Democratic debate

#1 Post by BackInTex » Fri Feb 22, 2008 3:02 pm

Yeah, I watched some of it.

Do you think that Hillary and Obama know that George Bush won't be on the ballot in the fall? They both seem to be running against him.

I think it will confuse a lot of the peopel, O.K. at least the Florida Democrats, when they get to the polls in November looking to cast a vote against GWB and don't see him on the ballot.

I wonder how many of them will approach the poll workers and go "Oh no, you're not going to fool me again! Give me the right ballot."
..what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? let them take arms.
~~ Thomas Jefferson

War is where the government tells you who the bad guy is.
Revolution is when you decide that for yourself.

Didn't all the Republicans run against Bill Clinton rather than Al Gore in 2000?

Oh, come on, this always happens. The Republicans were largely running against Woodrow Wilson in 1920 and Harry Truman in 1952, and the Democrats against Nixon in 1976.
