I did know Trainspotting, having seen the movie.

On the other hand, I had never heard that meaning for Serengeti. I'm also suprised that the audience knew it so convincingly. I suppose that I would have ATA'd there, but maybe I would've 50-50'd hoping that I could make an educated guess amongst the remaining two choices.
