top o' the mornin'®

Five years ago this morning our house in southern Indiana burned to the ground; three years ago yesterday my mother passed away. Not surprisingly our family tends to get a little "on edge" around this time. Fortunately the only thing to occur was that my oldest son's computer appears to have expired - when he powers it up the fan comes on but the monitor displays a message that reads "no input". My guess is that either his video card is gone, or the motherboard is.

I have a doctor's appointment this morning - my semi-annual checkup with blood tests to make sure that the medications I'm taking aren't wreaking havoc on my internal chemistry. It's not likely that they'll find anything, but of course that means nothing to eat or drink until after the blood samples have been drawn.

You have rebuilt and your mom's spirit is still with you. May you always be able to grow and expand and thrive after challenges.
