I am curious as to whether Simon Cowell or the producers of AI have any part of Carrie Underwood's contract. Anyone know?

As the winner, I believe AI has a major piece of her for her first 2 or 3 (I think 3) albums. I recall reading that the winners have very little control over their own careers, which is why Kelly Clarkson went through legal battles with them. For that same reason, it's also likely that Taylor Hicks isn't too heartbroken over being let go.
