I can't figure out how to upload a photo of the cupcake/wedding cake that the bakery made up while BD and GW were there. The "Img" button seems to want a URL for it, and I just have it as a file on my computer. If someone could point me to a reference on how, or just plain tell me, I'll post it. Anyway, the vanilla cupcake has two calla lilies on it. The chocolate ones will have two red roses on top. Roses and calla lilies will be the flower theme of the bouquets and arrangements.
The DJ is now settled. We really liked the solo guy we spoke with on Sunday, from the agency which pitched us the owner duo. Using the single DJ saves us about $700. Their price was lower than some of the quotes we got from other places. And the nearby location is worth a couple of hundred just for the convenience with the required setup meetings. The DJ has been doing this for about 20 years, 13 or so with the current agency. He was also a guard at the local medium security prison until a couple of years ago. We get a DJ and a bouncer, all in one. He said he has served as such at a couple of events that he's worked.
So we've got the major choices mostly out of the way. Venue/caterer for ceremony and reception, check. Entertainment, check. Photographer, check. Bakery/cake, check. Florist, almost checked. Obviously, there are other decisions to be made, but most aren't due for a while. Like finalizing the music; tentative choices were made during the DJ interviews. And the reception menu; this one may come down to money and how much the dinner stations will cost vs. sit-down entrées. We're taking a break from thinking about this stuff for a while. It has been an intense month or so, with lots of driving and early weekend rising.

Or, if you don't want to do that, you could upload the photo to the Bored as your avatar (then change it back after a while, if you like). But images within a message have to be available somewhere else on the web.marrymeflyfree wrote:You can sign up for a free account at photobucket.com or shutterfly.com - upload your photo to it, and voila: you have a link.
