ANSWERS/POINTS

#26 Post by littlebeast13 » Mon Feb 11, 2008 7:49 am

1. I didn't think about my lady
I know that sounds kind of mean
But me and my old lady
Have fallen into the same old dull routine
Escape (The Pina Colada Song) - Rupert Holmes

2. To my surprise one hundred stories high
People getting loose now, getting down on the roof
Disco Inferno - The Trammps (Wasn't aware of Tina Turner, but OK. Also, this is the official theme song of the Merry Men bullpen....)

3. "We're callin' everyone to ride along
To another shore,
We can laugh our lives away
And be free once more."
Ride Captain Ride - Blues Image

4. So let that feeling
grab you deep inside
and send you reeling
where your love can't hide
Let Your Love Flow - Bellamy Brothers

5. Bing bang, I saw the whole gang
Dancing on my living room rug, yeah!
Flip flop, they was doing the bop
All the teens had the dancing bug
Splish Splash - Bobby Darin

6. You can see I'm single-minded, I know what I could be
How'd you feel about it, come and take a walk with me?
I'm looking for a partner, regardless of expense
Think about it seriously, you know, it makes sense
Opportunities - Pet Shop Boys

7. What d'you think about that? Now you know how I feel
Say you can handle my love, are you for real? [are you for real?]
I won't be hasty, I'll give you a try
If you really bug me then I'll say goodbye
Wannabe - Spice Girls (The companion song to "Maureen" from Wednesday's game? Old school BB's know what I'm talking about....)

8. I'm working hard, you're working too
We do it every day
For every minute I have to work
I need a minute of play
Turn Up The Radio - Autograph (My Mom won this record [I believe the album was called "Sign in Please"] off the radio when it came out. She became a radio contest ho after winning the Eurythmics' album "Touch" along with a phone in a contest not long before this....)

9. The grabbing hands
Grab all they can
All for themselves
After all
It's a competetive world
Everything Counts - Depeche Mode

10. You used to laugh about
People who were hanging out
Now you don't talk so loud
Now you don't seem so proud
About having to be scrounging your next meal
Like a Rolling Stone - Bob Dylan

11. Well I know what's right, I got just one life
in a world that keeps on pushin me around
but I'll stand my ground
I Won't Back Down - Tom Petty (Sans the Heartbreakers, but I didn't take off for that. The video contains several of his Travelling Wilburys bandmates...)

12. I feel like this is the beginning
'though I've loved you for a million years
And if I thought our love was ending
I'd find myself drowning in my own tears
You Are The Sunshine Of My Life - Stevie Wonder

13. We used to think it was impossible
Now you call me by my new last name
Memories seem like so long ago
Time always kills the pain

I aint nobody's fool
Come on shake it up
Whatever I do
Cradle of Love - Billy Idol

15. I keep hearin' you're concerned about my happiness
But all that thought you're givin' me is conscience I guess
If I was walkin' in your shoes, I wouldn't worry none
While you 'n' your friends are worried about me I'm havin' lots of fun
Flowers on the Wall - The Statler Brothers (TBone would get the bogus bonus point for naming Eric Heatherly if I awarded such points, as his 2000 album "Swimming in Champagne", which contains this song, was released at the same time the Wal~Mart TV's were added all throughout the store.... and repeated the same crap every 15 minutes or so. Do you know how many times I heard Eric Heatherly singing about "Playing solitaire till dawn, with a deck of 51?" Enough times that I wanted to suggest he try a little Russian Roulette instead....)

Fallin all over myself
To lick your heart and taste your health cause
With the birds I'll share
This lonely view...
Scar Tissue - Red Hot Chili Peppers

20. Don't tell me it's not worth tryin' for

I always remember this is solo Tom because of Ringo and Jeff Lynne being in the video. For some reason I loved it. Don't know why, because it was pretty much just a straight forward performance video.

I should have 30, unless you docked me two for giving you crap about the Statlers. Ha!

Although in the battle of the anality, I put money on you being more accurate than me so, if I'm wrong, I'll be duly humbled. And then I'll blame my dyslexia.

No dyslexia, just poor counting on my part. You are correct, and I will make the proper adjustment in the standings....
