As a side story, you all know...... I'm old. I do not keep up with the latest in too much of anything. Especially types of, uh, recreational smokes. My granddaughter brought Sativa home several years ago. I thought what a pretty, and unusual name.......Sativa. Only last year, or so, my sweet baby girl finally told me that Sativa is a type of marijuana. If she hadn't been 22 years old at the time I would have spanked her. I'm thinking what the people at the vet's office must have been thinking as I presented them "Sativa."
I love this story DK. Think back now. Are you sure you didn't notice the nice people at the vet's office snickering just a little bit? Just for the record, the same thing would have happened to me.

LOL.....Oh, Kay, you can't imagine how many times I've played those vet visits back in my mind to try to remember just that very thing!kayrharris wrote:DevilKitty100 wrote:I have one of those, too! Merv is adorable, and looks like he's settling in nicely. Congratulations on your new little buddy!

Honestly, "sativa" is a new one on me. Never heard of it. And I was in rock bands and college and had some...uhhh...research on that kinda stuff. Research..yeah, that's it.DevilKitty100 wrote:I have one of those, too! My little Sativa. She's a sweet thing.Beebs52 wrote:Freya and Jasper may be long lost cousins. Are they lovers? I am having it be that his family found him.Beebs52 wrote:He's here! I'll get a pic when he's settled in. He has the BEST motor and is a lover. He squeaks. He slept on me for awhile while we napped and he put his paws on my face. Awww. Right now he's on my shoulder. Beebs could care less tho Merv is still in the hissing stage for him.
So, what else do we need around here? How about the lost chocolate Lab that Jeff caught running down our street. Collar but no tags. Very healthy and obviously someone's doggie and very friendly. Until he grabbed onto the rawhide bone that Beebs never chews on. Then he growled. Hmmm. So I fed him and watered and scooted him out for a bit while Jeff puts up signs. I've posted on a local petfinder link, called our vet and the Humane Society to see if anyone's reported a dog.

He got him from animal control and had a chip implanted, so all's well. At least the next time he escapes we'll know who he is and can just keep him in the backyard...Beebs52 wrote:He's here! My m-i-l just commented this morning that pets with chips always seem to get found. We saw the report of that dog that they thought was killed in the avalanche and wasn't.

It made me happy, too. Whenever we have to get another dog, and hopefully, not for awhile, we'll chip him.peacock2121 wrote:This makes me so very happy.Beebs52 wrote:peacock2121 wrote: Yes! If anyone gets a chip for their cat, do not be alarmed that it moves around a good bit. Dub's started on his upper back and is now on his left buttock, if he had a buttock, which I guess he has two, hence his name.Beebs52 wrote:

Anyway, my guess is that however it is that their muscles are attached loosely to their bones being why they can squeeze through small spaces, is why the chip migrates. I don't know if this is true for dogs. Migrating chips are the last thing some dogs need to worry about.
