Interestingly Doonesbury ran a series of cartoons about bedbugs and featured bug-sniffing dogs. As for Jessica, her reasoning was incorrect - Trusty was a bloodhound, not a basset hound. I'd probably use one of my JTQs because I'm not sure how good the noses of Bassets and beagles are (I'm sure it's not Dalmation or collie).
