Anybody remember the QOD?

#1 Post by ToLiveIsToFly » Wed Jan 30, 2008 2:51 pm

The guy with the website thinks it'll be up and running again sometime next week.

I'm inclined to call it over, especially since I'm on the road half of February.

But I'm open to suggestions. As long as they're not anatomically impossible.

If it is no longer fun for you - bail.

If it is fun and you don't know how you can manage it - do what you can when you can.

That's my suggestion.

Does anybody remember the QOD. I remember in fondly.

Its your game, do with it what you will.
Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

I guess that we just see if there is anyone else here on the Bored that wants to take over the Moniker "QOD Meister". I think that Greyhound has dibs, if he wants.

I also am not sure that February is a good month for me. On the positive side, I do not rely as much on collected questions stored on a website as much as just pulling trivia out of my . . . :)

As others have noted, one always is free to post trivia questions whenever they want.

I haven't been playing, but here's my suggestion: spend more time with the people in your avatar.

Congrats, beautiful pic, beautiful family.
Enough already. It's my fault! Get over it!

That'll be $10, please.

If you think you can continue the game, I say go ahead and Meister through February, or however long it takes to finish. The old days of the rigid QoD rules of engagement are long gone (Had this been 6 or 7 years ago, you'd have already been tarred and feathered for failing in your QoD duties, and whoever was at the top of the list would be gearing up for running the next game. Players who wanted no part of hosting the QoD, but were always among the leaders, used to intentionally punt the last couple games just to keep from finishing first [Exeter571 anyone?]... that's how it used to be for QoD Meisters).

I doubt anyone's lining up to host the next game, so the ball is still in your court...

Considering that tomorrow is the last day of January, we really can't salvage this month of QOD, so I say we declare Greyhound Dude the winner.

Anybody know who is immediately under Greyhound on the chance that he declines the QOD meistership?
