McCain wins Florida

#1 Post by Buffacuse » Tue Jan 29, 2008 8:21 pm

2007-2008 McCain: Presumed front runner. Given up for dead. Likely nominee.

2003-2004 Kerry: Presumed front runner. Given up for dead. Nominee.

1980: Carter presumed nominee. Kennedy goaded into running against his party's own president.

I wonder sometimes if the media is making sport of us by doing this to have stuff to write about.

Were I Barack Obama, I am not sure I would make much of Teddy Kennedy's endorsement. Givne his world-changing set of actions in 1980. Carter facing no major intramural battle probably wins re-election, and Ronald Reagan goes back play a lawyer on TV.

Robert Kennedy's children support Hillary.

Carter was toast in 1980. That was why Kennedy got into the race in the first place.

If there's a politician the right wingers hate almost as much as the Clintons, it's Ted Kennedy. Obama has just guaranteed himself a heap of venom in the general election if he gets there.

We're doomed.

That is all.

Maybe you should use Lady G's citizenship and move to Canada.

(I am remembering correctly, I hope)

It is under consideration.

Toronto and B.C. are looking better all the time.

I think Toronto is a lovely place to live. Seems to have so many of the USA stuff happening, without all of the stuff you do not like.

I am not informed enough to have an opinion about British Columbia.

Hope you can find a place that doesn't give you angst.

God help us all if the final matchup is Clinton vs. McCain... and I fear that this matchup is becoming more of a possibility now.

The weather's much milder in (parts of) BC. Just ask Saucy!
