I gotta hand it to you, Drew, that was a gutsy move. Sorry it didn't work out. elwing gave me the same advice and I did the same thing (although in my case it was using the 50/50 and then guessing wrong). I agree that for that value "Michaelangelo" was too obvious, and given the distribution of the audience's choices my assumption was that they chose solely on their familiarity with the names. It was a great run, but I'm sad that we didn't get to see the "Drew dance".

Sure, he sent more people to the Gulag (or worse) than any of the other choices, but I wouldn't read that poem and say that he'd been offended at the insult to his facial hair! I think this was another case of the question writers adding extra, unnecessary fluff to a question.

Congrats on your win. You were very gutsy to go for the question. I didn't have the guts to answer my $100,000 question even though I was 75% sure I knew the answer and even said the answer before Meredith did. I still regret my lack of fortitude to this day, but for me $50,000 was so much money that I couldn't risk it.

25K: I knew he was old enough not to have been dissing Brezhnev. Beyond that who knows. I don't know how much faith I'd have in ATE; this expert, it turns out, really was one in this case.

I'd ATE to buy time, & if I didn't have this most excellent expert Drew got, I'd double dip. Stalin would have been one of the dips.

100K: I was pretty sure it was Michaelangelo, but "pretty sure" is not enough for 100K. If I have the double dip, use it of course.

In the real world, how many experts except this one would have known the 25K? So double dip is gone.
