Mo: Oh, my gosh! That is a tough one! I'm drawn to drawing straws, and I--Oh, darn it. I'd be misleading you and I don't want to do that. I feel like I've heard this story and I'm drawn to both drawing straws and flipping a coin. And not to rolling dice, but that's the best--I'm trying to think, often times it's clues in the question--Cave Creek, Arizona--what would be--they have--I know they have coins. They use coins in Arizona. And, ummm, they have all those things in Arizona. They have straws, I'm sure! I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I just--I just don't--

John: Mo, you know we're on the air, right?

Mo: I just felt so close to JaNelle and I think I've paved her street before. (And that's not a euphemism! Excuse me.) I guess the best that I can do is that I'm drawn to drawing straws and flipping a coin, because I'm not sure how selecting playing cards--

JaNelle: That would be unusual!

John wraps up the conversation and restarts the clock. JaNelle hates to leave so early, but she walks with $10,000.

JaNelle: You know, that's what I was drawn to!

If JaNelle looks familiar to any of you, it's because she was in the ROF on the same 10th Anniversary episode as mikehardware, FloridaGirl, and Michael Rooney.

The Bored's favorite bit of ironic trivia about ZZ Top: Mr. Beard doesn't have one!

I'm pretty sure that Spot even had his own video game at one time. And I'm pretty sure that I've actually played it.

I would've been out on this question. Even before the choices came up, I thought that flipping a coin would be the only logical answer, on the assumption that it was two candidates who were tied instead of more than two. I doubt that any of my lifelines would've been any help on this WWOQ®.

Was there an opportunity to hear this distinctive laugh?

Answer
D: Selecting playing cards ( 0 )
All of these are plausible answers, though I think that drawing straws is the least likely. Since Mo wouldn't have been of any help and I don't think the audience would know this one (though I'll burn the lifeline just to see the results), I'd probably walk away since I can't eliminate a second answer. This strikes me as a WWOQ.

No. If she laughed during her appearance, I didn't notice anything distinctive about it. Maybe that's because TPTB don't put windows behind the Hot Seat.

We had her going a few times in the green room. Her laugh wasn't too out of the ordinary, I don't know why it was a talking point.

I didn't see Wednesday's show, but when I saw the "preview Q" on Tuesday (the one about deciding the election with an unusual method) I thought "Ugh, what a weird question. I would have zero idea and I doubt ANY of the lifelines would help me".

The writers can come up with some wicked questions. I guess they don't want anybody to win big money on this show anymore. Sigh.
I'm just a game show nerd.
