Patty Bain Bachner
Great Falls, VA

Seeing the stories of contestants and knowing that a lot of them really need the money makes Patty cry. She's especially impressed with the kids who want to give back to their parents. There's real human emotion here.

Patty's husband, John, and her daughter, Cory Jean, are in the audience.

Patty: That's true!

René: Wouldn't you think, Patty? Not Spider-Man! Spider-Man is kind of a wimpy superhero.

Patty: Yeah, you're right! You're right!

René: Shaq is a big guy!

Patty: You know, you're really starting to convince me.

That makes me assume that Shaq didn't actually SHOW this tattoo? Doesn't everyone know the superman insignia?

spoiler just because it's a big picture...

No, they did not show his tattoo. Patty and René seemed to get distracted into discussing which superhero would be most appropriate for Shaq's physique (even though none of those superheros are "huge") rather than taking a moment to consider that Superman's symbol is quite famous in its own right, without needing any reference to the celebrity reading the question.

What surprised me was that he didn't show his tattoo when revealing the answer.

That surprised as well - I reallly thought he would show it.

Also, isn't Superman the only one who's insignia is an 'S'? IIRC spiderman has a spider on his chest and not a letter and I does Space Ghost or Silver Surfer have insignia's?

Dunno, but it would seem highly unlikely that either 2-word name would have a single "S" as its insignia...
A child of five would understand this. Send someone to fetch a child of five.

From a quick web search, it looks like Space Ghost uses a smaller image of his hooded head as his symbol. Nothing for the surfer dude; just that silvery body and surfboard.

A: Polonius B: Shylock
C: Iago D: Puck
I can probably eliminate Puck, but Shakespeare is a really weak suit for me. I could try the audience, but their guess is probably as good as mine. Same way with Rene. Unless somebody is absolutely sure, I'm not risking it.

I absolutely would trust the audience on this. Maybe it wouldn't be one of those slam-dunk 92 percent ATAs, but I would anticipate that well above 50 percent would know it without hesitation.
