I thought red means debt and financial loss.

I would have bombed on this stack. I never heard "Let's jet!" I didn't know Perrier is carbonated. And I thought "Sing a Song of Sixpence" goes "Oh, what a tasty dish to set before a king!" so I would have said it doesn't contain a question.

Second nursery rhyme question this week + safe haven miss = bad ending to a bad week, IMO.

It's, "Wasn't that a dainty dish, to set before the king?"

When Meredith told Andrea she was leaving with $5,000, I thought I heard her add, " . . . and four lifelines." A truly unfortunate victim of the clock -- she appeared to be a strong player with a pretty good knowledge base. --Bob

Yes, she did say that. :(

And I agree that the nursery rhyme question was particularly difficult, under the handicap of TDC. Thirty seconds to recall the complete text of all four rhymes?

Okay, I wouldn't have been able to recall all of them, even without the clock. I remembered Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary was asked "How does your garden grow?" but after that I was stumped.

Is there more to the last one than
Jack be nimble,
Jack be quick,
Jack jump over
The candlestick.

I could only remember the question for sure in the first one as well. But I might have gotten it by going with the last one only because as far as I could recall that was all there was to it. Whether TDC was a factor is hard to say although I would guess it would be for me.

$500: Never heard this in my life, but only 1 possible right answer up there

12.5K: Know Stevie is older than that. Otherwise clueless. ATA

25K: I couldn't remember the question part of the Sixpence; I never knew the question part of Boy Blue. ATE just to gain thinking time. Maybe I would have got the questioning part of Sixpence by buying time that way. Maybe the expert would have known the answer (yeah sure). At any rate, double dip.

And I could have taken a flier on Jack, of course, right at the start, but I was instead busy agonizing over thinking that both Jack & Blue had no question in them, even after I remembered the Q in Sixpence.

Just remembered there was a new BB who was named Andrea (gorevidelia) and her taping would've put her around this time. Just wondering if this is her.

I bet you're right. She only has 9 posts, but in one of them she mentions that she is from Brooklyn. She mentions her tape date, but I don't know how they correspond to air dates. At the time, she said she was taping on 9/30, with possible c/o to 10/01.

Yep, that must be her. I suspect she won't be coming back to the Bored. :(

And if we could confirm that this episode was taped September 30, that would further assist my clean-up efforts. --Bob
