Was Just reading about Francis Bacon's Idols of the Mind, which I hadn't heard of before. It works very well in explaining what I have been calling fallacies, especially as they pertain to scientific "controversies."

Here's a teacher-ish worksheet about it, if you're interested. Or even if you're not. :)
