I'm guessing this question did not actually contain the word "highest."

I haven't calculated what Matt's banked time was through the $50,000, but I think it would have made a point if he had looked back at Ralph and said "Can I take his seat now?"

Here's an article about Matt's appearance. No details that we don't already have from the transcript.

But this mentions his win only to get picky about the Elbright Azimuth question.

Surveying by NGS and DGS personnel indicates that the mobile home park just west of Ebright Road is at least 2 feet (61 cm) higher than the benchmark. The land under the mobile home park is not “natural elevation” since it is a man-made plateau that was constructed to prevent flooding in the area. Man-made elevations do not change a state’s “high point” location.
Tough luck, mobile home park! :P

No clue on this one. I'll try KenJen first. If he's stumped, I'll PAF.

Another question that WWTBAM stole from me. I asked a question similar to this in a QoD many years ago. (My question asked for the city that the D'Alessandros were mayor of.)

I nailed this one right off the bat. He was appointed governor of Louisiana some time after the Civil War. (Just in case it comes up, the first elected African-American governor was Doug Wilder of Virginia in 1989.)

D'oh! I remembered that the first elected African-American governor was recent, and therefore ruled out the correct answer from the get-go. --Bob

Yes, it did actually contain the word "highest".
I just looked at my recording. On my broadcast, which may be different from the one you receive from Mars, the question was "Ebright Azimuth is the name of Delaware’s what?", as I suspected. Had the question included the word highest, the potential options for answers would have been:

Ebright Azimuth is the name of Delaware's highest largest lake.
Ebright Azimuth is the name of Delaware's highest longest highway.
Ebright Azimuth is the name of Delaware's highest highest point.
Ebright Azimuth is the name of Delaware's highest official state flower.

That may make perfect sense to you, but it didn't to me.

1Q, 4 potential answers; taken as a package, which is the way I took it, the package contained the word "highest".

I wouldn't go to Mars 'cause I don't like Dave Bowie.

The question didn't, which was my original assertion. Package that any way you want to.

Wow- did it really?

I actually didn't go back and check this one- just assumed I transcribed it wrong like the other question where I forgot to include the answers.

Edit- I see from Esto's post that it did not. Thanks, Esto!

You're welcome. Based on the answers, I was assuming that "highest" could not have been part of the question. You can thank ghost for being ghost, causing me to go to the recording to verify it...

Thanks, as always, to you and the other transcriptionists for the great job you do. It is often appreciated without being mentioned.

No idea, but I still have PAF and ATE, so let's use one of them. Since the expert is KJ, I'll hold him in reserve and pull out the PAF.
