If he makes it to $50K he'll still not have enough, because of taxes.

He said that so quickly I wonder if he was thinking about lithography.

Shhhhh! Taxes are something TPTB don't want you mentioning on the show!

Meredith reassured Gary at that point, saying the PAF is a "great lifeline". What followed may have been another instance of MarleysNeighbors noticing me cursing at my television. If it's a
great lifeline, why are you killing it, Meredith?

I expect he did, without pausing to remember what a lithograph is.

I agree! The first word that popped into my head while watching was "lithograph", which led me to writing. (oops, right etymology but for the wrong part of the word!)
A little more thought leads to monolith, regolith, lithium, etc... but under the gun I might have leapt at that wicked distractor that was option D.

Funny how diferent minds work.
Lithograph never entered my mind. First thing that leapt to my mind was that "lith" means stone.
Lithograph itself means "stone writing"- the process was named this because the original print plate was a flat, smooth piece of limestone.

It didn't occur to me, either, and I couldn't figure out at first why Gary went for "handwriting" so quickly. Only after a few minutes did I think about lithographs.

I pre-called rocks, and I can once again thank my years of studying Greek and Latin in ministry. "Lithos" is the Greek word for "stone".
