Okay, I thought that there had to be something more involved in what they show on the ads but, by your explanation, I guess there isn't. Don't they give any info about who they polled? One of the commercials says something about being mistaken for a prostitute. Well, the answer on that would vary greatly depending on where you asked it, now wouldn't it? Otherwise it's just "pick a number between 1 and 100". Ha, I was just going to type 'where's the fun it in that?' when I realized that's pretty much the basis of the Howie Mandel show as well.

They're supposed to be national polls, with a representative sampling of all the various demographic groups, etc. If you go to the Power of 10 web site (I posted a link, above) they give a more detailed breakdown on the poll results. But, as we're discussing, many of the questions are open to interpretation. And many others are the sort of moral questions where the "right" answer is obvious and you have to guess how many of the respondents told the truth and how many gave the answer they were expected to give.

For an old-school D&Der, it's an easy distinction:

Darth Vader is Lawful Evil

Voldemort is Chaotic Evil

Near-perfect illustrations of each for the non-RPGer who wants to understand the distinction, IMHO.

Excellent example! And chaotic evil is always more evil than lawful evil.

I always prefered to have my personal characters be chaotic neutral or perhaps occasionally chaotic good. A lot more fun that way!
