Christmas Gift update - attention flybrick and book lovers

#1 Post by fuzzywuzzy » Thu Jan 03, 2008 2:18 pm

My Dad was so touched with your personalization of your signature in your book. He said he is going to read it...I told him, I expect a book report before we leave for Ireland.

fwh, is totally stoked to read your book... unfortunately, it won't be until we near the end of the month that he will get a chance to read it. He has 2 grants due this month...I'm lucky if I even get to see him!

Ok...sister in-law book gift update!

She received her autographed copy of Outlander by Diana Gabaldon before Christmas. She called me and told me she received the package. I told her that I wanted her to open it as we were talking on the phone. She loved it! Outlander is her favorite book, and she doesn't have a hardback copy... Not only does she have one, but, it is personlized and signed by Diana Gabaldon!

Well, my sister in-alw also had a surprise for me...

She gave me "The Double Bind" by Chris Bohjalian. Her book club and her cousin's book club in Vermont are going to have Chris Bohjalian meet with them in Feb in Vermont. She is going to get my book signed! :D

I can't wait to read the book!

We are going at the end of March (the Monday after Easter).

I am going to read your book this weekend!

Therefore, I promise to give you my thoughts!

Oh, yeah, fly...

my favorite John Wayne film = The Quiet Man

My Mom & Dad and I are "supposed" to meet some relatives in Ireland when we go.

I am excited to be going to visit the home of my grandparents!

Ah, enjoy!

I 'had to spend' four months in Germany last year for work; tough duty.

It's the ancestral home of my family as well - peasant and not Teuton, however. I found a dress shop with the same last name as mine - perhaps that's my true calling?

And I wonder why I kept wanting to invade Poland while I was there?!
