Bored Sneetches

#1 Post by Dr. Seuss » Thu Aug 20, 2009 11:35 am

Now, the auditioning BBs auditioned their way.
The phone-game BBs punched numbers to play.
Both groups made the show, they all got the call.
You might think such a thing wouldn’t matter at all.

Image

But, because they auditioned, all the auditioning BBs
Would brag, “We’re the best kind of BBs on TVs.”
With their snoots in the air, they would sniff and they’d snort
“We’ll have nothing to do with the phone game sort!”
And, whenever they chatted, when they were out walking,
They’d hike right on past them without even talking.

Image

When an auditioning BB started a thread,
“No phone game BBs can reply,” they all said
You only could post if auditioned your wares
And the phone game BBs merely called from their chairs.

Image

When the auditioning BBs had their own Bored quests
Like picnics or parties or BB fests,
They never invited a phone game peep
They left them out cold, their secret to keep.
They kept them away. Never let them come near.
And that’s how they treated them year after year.

Image

Then ONE day, it seems while the phone game BBs
Were moping and doping and watching their TVs,
Just sitting there, dressed in their shirts of blue
A stranger logged in to a Bored they all knew

“My friends," she announced in a post clear and tame,
“My name is Southpaw McFanny McFame.
And I’ve heard of your troubles. I’ve heard all the hype.
But I can fix that, I’m the Fix-It-Up type.

I’ve come here to help you. I have what you need.
I charge nothing, of course. And I post with great speed.
And my work is one hundred per cent guaranteed!”

Image

Then, quickly, Southpaw McFanny McFame
Posted a very spectacular game.
And she said, “I offer you Decades, the first game is here.
My friends, play each day and feel free to cheer!”

“Just log yourselves in and hop right aboard!”
So they clambered online. Then Decades roared.
The latest Bored challenge proved to be quite a test
Both phoners and auditioners gave it their best

Image

And McFanny was right, I’m so happy to say.
That the BBs got really quite smart on that day.
The day they decided that BBs are BBs.
And no kind of BB is the best on the TV.
That day, all the BBs played Decades and thought
We want ALL our BBs to at least have a shot

Image

Hop on Decades.
Premeiring in September.
The thinks I think.

Wonderful!

Now, how can the game possibly live up to the great promos?
Now generating the White Hot Glare of Righteousness on behalf of BBs everywhere.

Dr Seuss can't spell; was Re: Bored Sneetches

#12 Post by ghostjmf » Thu Aug 20, 2009 3:21 pm

Dr. Seuss (who I strongly suspect is just another name change by CowardlyNameChanger, on account of them dropping one of their Cowardly Names within the post) says:
Premeiring in September.
Normally, I wouldn't pick on mis-spelling, because I mis-spell myself occasionally. Well, I can spell the word "myself", but I have upon occasion mis-spelled other words.

But because CowardlyNameChanger, who I suspect has momentarily changed their name to "Dr. Seuss", & their cohort makes such a big fuss about some of my mis-spellings, I thought I would point one of theirs out.

If they can figure out which word up there they mis-spelled, that is.

You are clueless, as usual. You also misspelled variations of "misspell" 5 times. There is no hyphen in that word...

They're brilliant.

This takes clueless to a whole new level. All the clues must have been VANDALIZED.
