Angela Watt

Angela is an attorney and mother of twin boys, but she also has her frisky side. Ten years ago, she started a New Years Eve tradition of shedding her clothes at midnight, except her boots, and she does a lap around the outside of the house.

It's funny how people don't know their geography. I find it true when I play pub trivia as well. Of course I dislike the music categories.
I believe in the usefulness of useless information.

Whenever I've been on PAF duty, I've always kept a world globe within reach. It helps for checking whether the Equator goes through the Arctic Ocean. It would have made this question a piece of cake. I didn't think it was a real hard question, but it's better to have a PAF who admits she doesn't know than one who is "sure" of the wrong answer.

This question (and the state capital question that tripped up the other contestant) is an example of a question that the clock is going to hurt people with. It is tough on national television to visualize a map of the United States in 30 seconds. Given a bit more time, she might have been able to think that one through.

How can you have a PAF team, and not have one with access to a map or globe?

Especially if you know you're no good at geography?

I think there are contestants who don't put much thought into their lifelines. It seems like second nature to us here on the bored.

On a totally unrelated (and very shallow) note, I don't know what it was, but Angela looked much more attractive to me on her carryover night than her first night.

Just sayin'

ITA, Jeemie, and that's interesting because this was the second show taped on Friday the 31st, so presumably she didn't have much time between shows to get all prettied up.

But yeah. Geography was definitely out to get her in her hot seat run.
In this town, don't we love it now, everbody's waiting for the next surprise!

I's sure that is totally unrelated to Regis' disclosure of her friskiness on NYE...

She might have gone to Princeton and participated in their Nude Olympics:

8K: I've always heard "pree fixay". Needless to say I can't speak French. Since I know the 1st word is "pree", pick "pree fix", since I'm sure it isn't "pree fee", & hold breath.

25K: Pretty sure it isn't Idaho. OK, very sure it isn't Idaho. All my shaky geographical knowledge tells me so. I'm surer of that than how Montana & Wyoming line up with Colorado, actually. Go for it & hold breath, again.

I faintly heard another woman in the room's voice say "Idaho," and then quickly switched to "Wyoming." How sad.

I wouldn't be surprised if there were a small crowd keeping Jeemie company at Angela's house on NYE from now on... lol

Sounded like she was the relay person for a room full of people. As noted in this thread it seems crazy to us not to have a map or globe handy as a PAF but that tradition goes way back as time after time a relatively simple geography Q would be missed by a PAF for lack of a map combined with profound and rampant geo nitwitism.
