Another weekend, another snow storm

After getting six inches of snow last weekend, which melted when the temps went into the 40s with rain on Friday/yesterday, we are due to get up to 8 inches of fresh snow tonight/tomorrow. I think we will have a white Christmas around here.

We won't have a white Christmas, but I did get a midnight clear.

Yesterday, a fast-moving storm dropped just enough snow to make the streets awful and to cancel a slew of holiday parties. By 6 or 7 p.m., the storm was gone. When the dogs went outside late at night, snow covered everything, the skies were starry, the moon was bright, and there wasn't a breath of wind. It was so beautiful that I stayed outside in my bathrobe for a little while.

Today, everything melted into mud. I must cling to the memory.

Shirley Ugest. Or the TV stations "down here" (scenic northwest Ohio), not all that far from you, have been lax in their warning duty, something they never otherwise are. Or your storm is travelling due west & destined to smack right into Lake Huron. Or something.

We had howling blizzard in the middle of last night, which left not enough snow to be even counted on top of the stuff that had melted with the warm weather the day before by 9:30am in the morning.

It's 53° here right now. We had a front go through with 25 MPH winds and a lot of rain.

30 something for my walk into work this morning. Kind of brisk especially for Houston.

It is supposed to be in the 50s later today and closer to 60 the next couple of days. On Thursday I'm heading to Indiana for the Jackson Family Christmas on Saturday.

They've got a chance of snow or rain every day I'm there. I'm hoping for snow but it will all work out to the same thing with the temps in those ranges.

I'd much rather be back in Michigan west of Kazoo where I used to live. Highs of 30 and chance of snow every day. Keep it nicely frozen is the best way to go.
No matter where you go, there you are.
