You had responded to a post of mine last week when I had mentioned that we may be moving to Iowa. Do you live there and, if so, where in Iowa?

No. I live in Omaha, Nebraska.

I have visited several towns in Iowa (mainly Western Iowa) for work (private and with the government). Other than those experiences, we only other connection is our drive through to get to Minnesota to visit friends.

Oh, I forgot that we get to watch and listen to all of the craziness surrounding the Iowa caucuses, as Omaha media is the media for the Western Iowa.

No, really, why?

No, really, why?
He explained why in the Iowa caucus thread:

Might I suggest you drive up there in say January or February before you decide? Most any place can seem nice in September.

Then again, to me any place where the high temperature doesn't break 50 for extended periods of time is not a nice place to live! For that matter it would be even better if it never got below 60. 50's and overcast today and I have an itch to head south for a little change in latitude.

If only I could...

Lady G's daughter's husband is going to med school in Iowa and she would like to be closer to family. Even though we really like living here is SC, she feels very isolated and most of the folks that she knows here all have generations of family around them and she feels lonely because of this. So, I told her that I really have nothing holding me here and even though it would be a major pain in the butt to pull up and move again, I'm OK with it.

Since she is original from Winterpeg in Canada and I am originally from NY, we know from cold winters. We have done a bit of research on Weather dot com and the average winters there are not that much colder than they are here. So, that is not much of an issue.

Plus, I think that I would like to sign up for a caucus. It could be interesting.
