Where's George
I have to remember to order my stamp. Although I am notorious for not carrying cash (like on Friday, when I had to accumulate $1 in nickels and pennies to purchase a copy of my accident report)...so I'm not sure I'm the best candidate for this job!

Cash is your friend..... you never know when you're gonna need it....

It's hard to track plastic, and even harder to stamp....

Since I scrounged for cash on Friday, I have not yet gotten more cash. I literally have about 13 cents in pennies in my wallet...which sucked when I got to work today and had no food and had to live off of my desperation drawer. No soda today! :(

I get plenty of small cash every payday, and as a result of using that cash, also get plenty of coinage. And of course, when I fill my hernia jug of coins up, I change it in to get even more cash... usually right before I go on one of my baseball trips.....

But I see why i don't get as many hits as I'd expect what with the aversion so many people have to carrying cash these days.....

My theory on it is, I use my Chase Rewards card for everything. I get 1% cash back on everything and an additional 2% back on my top 3 spending categories. Then when I accrue $200, I get a check for $250.

Then I just write one check to Chase every month and everything I've spent for the month, except mortgage, car payment and electric bill (the only things I can't charge) is in one place. It works out well.

I get cash usually only to go to the casino or when I'm going out with friends and will be in a check splitting situation. I also always travel with a little cash, in case I need to take taxis or whatever.

I'll guess never.

Through natural circulation..... just once. Got one back in change at the car wash one time. Of course, since I pay for almost everything in fives and ones, I rarely get paper change back or it'd probably happen more often. I have gotten some of mine back from the stash I get from the bank on occasion...

Perhaps one of the more interesting cases involved someone else's bill I entered. I spent it on a Friday in the next town over (about 7 miles away), and Sister #1, who at that time was working as a CSM at my Mecca and was on the lookout for wilds for me, happened to come across it in one of the cash drawers the following Monday!

It's really an interesting hobby....

Ha, I should have known my fellow Cheap Bastard would do this. Except in my case it's Discover. That's why I finally broke down and got an American Express. I hated spending money at Costco without getting some of it back.

The most difficult part of the George thing for me is actually having cash. I can go months without ever spending cash. I'd always just keep a couple bucks in the console, just in case.

Far be it from me to deprive someone of a hobby, but it makes sense for things like vending machines. It would also make sense for vending machines to take pennies, but that's not gonna happen.
