We interupt this program to bring you this breaking news

#1 Post by themanintheseersuckersuit » Mon Mar 30, 2009 11:50 am

Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

Ugh! I won't be having those for lunch today.

I like doughnuts, and I like bacon, but I think I would not like those.

“Donuts. Is there anything they can't do?”

I think they would be good. Something you'd see on the Iron Chef that would look kind of gross but then the food critics would rave. I love bacon...maple bacon is even better. It would be kind of like if you get a bite of pancake with syrup and bacon all in one bite. Like the McGriddle at McDonald's almost. I bet it's yummy.

That being said, I will not be making them because I try not to fry foods in my house...I will only eat them outside the house. Especially with the condo on the market, I don't think that would go over well.

Blecch! Fake maple flavoring and fake bacon flavoring together with a fake pancake. I'd rather eat the dollar bills I'd use to pay for it.
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

Mr. Scorpio says productivity is up 2%, and it's all because of my motivational techniques -- like donuts and the possibility of more donuts to come.

I have a feeling I've already been served that in my life, minus the bacon bits. Think "donuts cooked in a ton of grease that tastes like bacon grease". And I don't mean lard, which I would avoid because I don't eat pork products, not because it makes things taste like bacon. Otherwise lard leaves no discernable taste to me, so I've probably eaten pies with lard in the crust without meaning to. Stuff fried in lard I didn't know was fried in lard. Etc.

However, I have had donuts that tasted like bacon grease was just dumped into the donut fryer. I did not eat beyond the 1st taste.

Looks tasty! Where can I get some? The cock-a-roach would probably like them as well.
