I'll be rooting for them because if they win, Louisville wins the regular-season championship.

I guess it won't hurt to let Louisville win something. But Pitt will go farther.

Yeah, probably. The NCAA committee usually places the better teams at sites closer to home.

Pitt is a one seed, as everyone knows.

Louisville has three out of conference losses, none good unless losing to bubble teams is a plus. They have an embarrassing loss to Notre Dame. If they play Pitt or UConn home and home they're three seed in the conference. Regardless, they are a three seed in the dance.

I can't see Louisville being any worse than a 2 seed. They would pretty much have to be a 1 if they win both the Big East tournament and the regular season outright. They beat Pitt. The selection committee puts more weight on how a team is playing late in the season than on what happened months ago.

Actually, looking at the numbers, I agree. Michigan St is not as good as Louisville so I can't see dropping Louisville a seed below them. Think Louisville also has to count on another OU loss to get a one though.

If Louisville wins the Big East tourney, they will take one of the 1s away from Pitt or UConn. Memphis would be the highly-ranked team on the outside looking in.

If OU loses again before the Big XII Championship, Memphis could get that #1.

Pitt has two wins over UConn and the number one Rpi in the country. They're a lock for a one. Louisville has to hope it shakes out that they get the Indy bracket and Pitt is sent to the East.

that was easy

pitt is a lock to be a #1, probably in the dayton pod, as they should be the closest(depending on the louillvilles).tptb are seeding based on proximity, not overall1's,2's,etc

i intuit that the big east could get three #1's if uconn and louis play in the big east final.

wvu was a 3 pt fave tonite.

Winning the Pac-10 title outright at home against a heated rival embodies what is right with college sports.

Congrats UW Huskies

It's possible, but only if Oklahoma stumbles. I believe if OU gets to the Big XII Championship game, they are a 1 seed. UNC gets a 1 seed unless they lose their first round game in the ACC tournament or get blown out in the semi.
