We are pulling up to the funeral home for the visitation. Suddenly, my son excitedly exclaims, "Someone famous is here to say goodbye to PaPa."
He saw the funeral home's limo, parked in front.
The next day, both Lil' Bit and he wanted to ride in the limo. So, they went with my MIL for the short drive (quarter-mile) from the funeral home to the grave site. After the casket has been moved to the site, he comes running out of the limo to my wife and me, yelling, "That was totally awesome!"
It is awfully hard to be sad when you are smiling.
(Of course, after the burial service, he dissolved into tears on the ride back to my MIL's house.)
