My fears are that they would bring it back, but as a gimmick try to populate it only with Slumdogs. They probably wouldn't visit your home to see if it looks like the worst parts of Mumbai, but proof the contestants don't make enough to live on could be required. (For all I know, not having seen the movie yet, the contestant in the movie had technically moved out of "Slumdog" category by the time he got on; he certainly had become well-educated in some way. But that wouldn't bother the casters of WWTBAM as we know them.) Which would rule out a lot of us. It could also be easily faked, which of course burns me up.

Jamal isn't begging on the street when he gets on the show, but as a "chai wallah" at a Mumbai call center, he's not that far from it. As for
how he knows the answers, that's the heart of the movie!
