So if, for example, Ebenezer Scooge shows up and his post has the same IP address as was used for a few thousand posts from, say, MarleysGh0st, we draw the obvious inference. --Bob

Sounds like this secret moderator button keeps track of all IP addresses, so they'd be able to double check a new address against all the usual haunts of our established BBs. The only way to maintain the mystery would be to log in from a public access terminal or some other computer you've never posted from before.
