Art is going to his forever home on Monday.

Emma is going to be sad and happy when I tell her.

I thought maybe you had bought one of my velvet paintings off of a street corner....
Squirrels are the architects of forests, the planters of trees, nature's own acrobats and show a zest for life that can inspire us. Every day should be National Squirrel Appreciation Day!

Many of these (squirrel) migrations were probably caused by food shortages as well as habitat overcrowding. We solved that for them. We not only reduced their habitat, we reduced the whole species by about 90%. The least we can do now is share a little birdseed with them.

A lot of dogs have been going home lately. It's good because dogs have been coming back due to people losing their houses or owner illness.

A cute dog named Frasier just came in last Friday. His "mom" had Parkinson's and can't take care of him any more. He's the sweetest little guy and was scared when I saw him. The scared dogs appeal to my mom instinct and I took him out for cuddling and walking, so he could get out of his crate.

Last weekend, Maddie volunteered her 100th hour at Hemopet. She has to do 40 hours to graduate but set a goal for 300 hours.

They asked me to take Zap out to some of the adoption events, so that I can share the joys of Greyhound ownership, but I have mixed feelings. He doesn't do well with boy dogs, so if another male goes to the event, he might have issues. Plus he would have to be penned in a cage at the event and I don't want to do that to him. But, if we can get another dog adopted through our efforts, it would make me happy.

If his owners bring him back for Bubble Bath Day, Emma will see him.

Whew, that scared me for a minute. I thought "forever home" meant that big animal home in the sky -
or wherever it is .....silly me!!

He'll be very happy, I'm sure. Zap can tell him all about it!

Will Emma see me if I show up for Bubble Bath Day? Or is it only on Flipped Eyelid Day?
I believe in the usefulness of useless information.
