Given his business, it is llike free fuel!

We even went to a friends house earlier in the year to help him clear out wood from trees he had cut down.

He was moving and offered us the wood, so we took it.

Well I just heard from elwing. The news is not good - the heating unit has to be replaced, at a cost of from $2K to $3K depending upon how energy efficient we want to be. There is a bright spot, however. The problem was caused by a burner that had become bent and wasn't pointing in the right direction, so the unit was producing an excess amount of CO, which triggered a sensor to shut down the unit. Fortunately the heating area was well ventilated so we weren't in any danger, but according to the repair person it's a good thing we caught it when we did. It will also take a couple days to do the repairs, so we're gonna have to find some space heaters.
