Tough Lesson

#1 Post by christie1111 » Thu Jan 08, 2009 8:36 pm

Son1111 was given a refurbished iPod Touch for Christmas. While playing in a basketball game today, the Touch was stolen out of his bag in the locker room.

He is devastated.

Of course he shouldn't have had it at school, but he thought his own school locker room would safe, especially since it was in his bag. Only people who should have been in the locker room would have been his team (freshman) or the JV team which were suiting up for the next game. Can't say it was a member of the JV team, but it seems likely.

There was a police officer there so we filed a report.

Also called Apple and logged in the ID number, but of course they can't do anything.

Not on the AmEx and Husband1111 doesn't think the card it was on has theft protcetion, but he is checking.

Tough to see your kid in tears.

At least it was the loss of just a 'thing'.

Came home to a phone message from a young lady, who said Big J should call her as she had his Ipod. He had loaned it to her at school today, and she forgot to give it back.

He was at his Dad's in tears too, thinking she had stolen it.

Hope Son1111 finds his, or it gets turned in by a conscience.

Lessons that teach us not to trust are hard.

Sorry he is getting one of those.
