And on the other hand...

I saw a very good flick this weekend - "Elizabeth". (Yes, I am little behind in my movie viewing). This one had me enthralled from the git-go. But, it was kinda funny in that, in watching the movie, I said to myself "isn't he dead?" when I saw both John Gielgud and Richard Attenborough. And Geoffrey Rush looked a tad younger than from his parts in the "Pirates" movies. Then I realized that the movie was a little older than I had originally thought. I didn't realize that it was a 10-year old movie! But, I thoroughly enjoyed it just the same.

Attenborough's not dead, is he? I know Gielgud passed away a few years ago...

Attenborough is still alive, although he has had some serious health problems over the last couple of weeks.

I thought I remember hearing his obit a few years ago. I may be wrong, though.

Veteran actor Lord Richard Attenborough is recovering well despite spending the whole of the festive period in hospital.

The 85-year-old Oscar winner fell and suffered a knock to the head on 18 December.

He slipped into a coma and was admitted to St George's Hospital in Tooting, West London. The actor/director subsequently regained consciousness but was not well enough to return home over Christmas.

A spokesman for the medical centre insists that the star's condition is not life threatening and he is on the road to recovery.

The representative says, "Richard Attenborough is making progress and remains in a stable condition."
