Six years after he was hired saying his first priority was to beat Georgia and his second to win the ACC.
0-6 against Georgia; no losing seasons but a minimum of five losses every single season.
The ax keeps falling. Houston Nutt is out at Arkansas (resigning ahead of being fired), former Tech player Ted Roof out at Duke after four wins in four years, and the Washington State coach got fired today as well. Colorado State coach Sonny Lubick being urged by the school to retire so they don't have to fire him.
As for my Georgia Tech team, I'm glad. We have an athletic director who is determined to get us back into the big time. Under Gailey, the team always seemed content with mediocrity. That's about to change.

Not quite. After the LSU game, Nutt reportedly was offered another extension, but he turned it down.silverscreenselect wrote:Houston Nutt is out at Arkansas (resigning ahead of being fired),
Rumor is that he will be the new coach at Ole Miss, replacing Ed Orgeron.
In related news, the scuttlebutt is that LSU DC Bo Pelini (and former NU DC) will be named as the new Husker HC tomorrow afternoon.

Never thought of it until now, but "Houston Nut" wouldn't be a bad bored name for somebody or another around here if they were ever to want to start going by a different name sometime.silverscreenselect wrote:Six years after he was hired saying his first priority was to beat Georgia and his second to win the ACC.
