The house is being cleaned for the party Sunday and because ghu forbid the HC should see the house as it really is. After all, it's not like BD didn't live here for 22 years. Or that the relatives don't give a crap how the house looks, as long as there's food and a place to sit down.
There is a gawdawful smell in our refrigerator. It has been there a week. During that time:
Every foodstuff inside has been carefully scrutinized, sniffed and wiped down.
The inside walls and shelves have been cleaned to within an inch of MY life.
The coils have been vacuumed.
There is no drip pan that I can locate and empty.
I have pulled it out from its niche (no mean feat, since it has about 1" total clearance on the sides) and cleaned under, over and behind it.
The smell remains.
I am pissed.
Time for the heavy guns. Baking soda paste on every square inch of inner surface area. Cover me, I'm going in!

Re: I hate cleaning
You've covered the only thing I can think of -- when this happened at the last Casa Sprots, it was a spill under the refrigerator. But you took care of that.
