Wal-Mart to settle wage lawsuits

#1 Post by Bob Juch » Wed Dec 24, 2008 5:18 pm

The giant retailer settles 63 class action suits alleging it shortchanged workers on their break time. Total cost: between $352 million and $640 million.

You mean they get breaks? :P

Well, I have never been denied a break in 10 and a half years, and the only time I didn't get OT pay for hours worked over 40 was DST weekend last year when they screwed up how they entered the time. I figured the 6 pre-tax bucks I lost out on wasn't worth the hassle to get it fixed.....

So no Christmas shopping for me. But I guess it's heartwarming to see that more of my profits are going to go towards paying off a bunch of already rich lawyers......

Would you like the 4 pound or 8 pound bag of squirrel food?
