They closed here years ago. I had no idea they were still in business anywhere.

So they are not available everywhere! Then again, maybe they are. I'm sure there's still a Shakey's Pizza open someplace, somewhere....

There was one in Manila about 24 years ago. I have no idea if it's the one.

We lost all our Wendy's a few years ago when the guy who ran them all went under. Now I can only get their absolutely delicious fries when I go to Kansas City.....

You can still get "Gee, Your Hair Smells Terrific" in the Philippines.

Seriously, apparently there's a huge audience there for products from the 70's and whatnot so companies still make them to ship over there. I think you can still get Bonne Bell and Lipsmackers, too. Probably used for when they gussy up for a night out at Shakey's.

At least, I think it's the Philippines. It's an island country that starts with a P, anyway.

I'm pretty sure Furr's ain't dead yet. The co. was based in Lubbock, and I think they still have some cafeteria's in West Texas and eastern New Mexico.

I think.

I just did a Yahoo Yellow Pages search and found that there are 41 Shakey's within 50 miles of me (in SoCal).

That's why I said franchises were available. If they go completely under, beast will have to alter his traditional routine! {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{SHUDDER!!!!!}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

How do you know that isn't how I normally am?

Maybe it explains my poor typing....
