Two feet of water in Venice
According to a friend. They've had a lot of rain. 
I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be.

If you'll look around Venice, you'll see there's a lot more than two feet of water most places.

Several friends who live there have mentioned the massive ongoing thunderstorms occurring there now. They live about 45 min northwest of Venice. Although I haven't lived too many places, I must say the thunderstorms there were the loudest I've ever heard.
I have at least one, maybe two, bookmarked sites for webcams in Venice on my computer that is at the shop. I want to see just how much 2ft of water translates to, so I guess I'll just have to google to find those links.
