ABC has announced that Lost will return with a two hour episode on Wed. Jan 21 at 9:00 (following a recap hour). After that, the show will run at 9:00 Wednesdays, to be followed by Life on Mars. Private Practice, which had aired Wednesdays, will move to Thursday at 10, where it will follow the show it spun off from, Gray's Anatomy. As with last year, Lost will air on consecutive weeks for the remainder of its 17-episode run. The show's producers had announced previously that they will end the show in one more season.
This is good news for Mars, which is on shaky ground along with a lot of new and second year shows on ABC and NBC. They are going to make one more attempt to save it, with the most logical leadin for a show of this type. Private Practice should also benefit from the Gray's leadin.
