Just got a quick phone call from Bob; he asked me to pass the message along...he was not able to make the first tape session, but will be going in later in the day.

Good luck with the test and the interview(s), Bob!

That mean's he'll miss Rafferty's taping. :(

Good luck with the interview, Bob; you've got to be impressive enough for them to give you a Happy Card now and for them to remember you when the next season starts!

Why do I think he already got in the Hot Seat? I must be confusing him with some other Bob, or Millionaire with some other show.

The sound of all of you not being surprised at this is not surprising.... :roll:

Bob was a Jeopardy! champion, but TPTB haven't let him on Millionaire yet.

Maybe not. When I went back for my second day of taping, I wasn't on until the 4th show (afternoon session). It all depends how things go!

Bob was a Jeopardy! champion, but TPTB haven't let him on Millionaire yet.
They are familiar with him, though! Maybe his being a PAF champ could help his cause. I can imagine they could play up the "You've helped so many before you, and now it's your turn" angle.

I was at the second session and did not see Bob#####. Doesn't mean he wasn't there though.

He may have had airline troubles. The rain continued all day. I just got home in a steady drizzle.

I did a bunch of stuff after the taping, including ending my night in the city with a performance by the Punch Brothers (Google them).
I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be.

I was at the second session. I couldn't get into the first session because they'd overbooked and I didn't reach the line until 10:20. Getting there on time wouldn't have helped, though; according to some others, they were already turning prospective auditioners away at 10:05.

The audition occurred in the studio. I believe I may have aced the test -- if so, that's the first time I've managed that. I don't have high hopes for the interview. It seemed fairly generic. (And yes, I pounded the hell out of the 22-time PAF angle.) I was not taped, but I didn't see anyone else get taped. I wasn't the last one out of the studio, though, so it's possible they asked people to hang back for a taped interview. --Bob

I don't think they do the videotaped interviews in the studio; you'd have to notice certain auditioners being led away elsewhere.

I almost got into the first tapings. I was told they book 700 people for the 200 seats!
