Million Dollar Password casting

#1 Post by mrkelley23 » Wed Nov 14, 2007 1:17 pm

I don't remember seeing this posted here yet, so please forgive any redundancy. The application and release forms are up on the CBS website. I'm confuzzled, though, because the site says to return the forms to an email address, but the forms are posted in read/print only pdfs. I don't have much of a scanner, so I'm not sure I can fill them out and return them in this way.

Is this LA-based or NYC? In other words, where will physical auditions be held? We don't all need to get calls about auditioning somewhere we can't get to, like we did with Crosswords.
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

Maybe a note to that effect is in order.

The application form also has a spot to attach a photo, so it really looks like they want hard copies sent to them.

Interesting that they've also saved a tiny amount of space at the bottom for "Producer's Notes".

I bookmarked it.

Maybe I'll wait a few days and then send them an e-mail telling them I can't figure out how to do it. I play the dumb blonde card.

Hey - it's worked for me before.

All I have read has said NYC.

You should be able to use the "select" tool in the Acrobat reader to cut and paste the text of the files into a Word document and work from there. I just did a trial, and the formatting is different from that in the PDF, but as long as the all the info is there, I'd think you should be OK. You should also be able to insert a photo into the document.

The legal mumbo jumbo reads as such:
This Agreement shall be deemed to be entered into in Los Angeles County, California, and shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of California applicable to agreements executed and fully carried out within California. . . . controversies between Producer and me, or any other participant or prospective participant and me) may only be brought in Los Angeles County, California, and I hereby agree that the courts of Los Angeles County, California . . . .
but that may be only because the production company office is there.

Any rumors on possible celebrity partners? I notice they ask for "favorite celebrity and why" on the form. A little gamesmanship might be in order, by picking someone already under consideration.

If they get William Shatner, will he do a solo lightning round? The solo bonus round he did for Pyramid was hysterical.

NYC it is, according to this article. Ahh, the power of web searching ...

I would go for Neil Patrick Harris. He kicked ass at Wheel this week and if I recall correctly also did well at Jeopardy!

I vote for Carson Kressley. Be funny even if you don't win.

Before I start filling out an application, does anyone have any details of what the game play will be like?

Ah yes, you're young.

I think the game play will be similar, if not identical, to the old game "Password." Here's an example:

Don't mind us; we're just a bunch of fogeys who are old enough to be your parents.

Except for those who could be your grandparents. :P
