It's done

#1 Post by danielh41 » Mon Oct 20, 2008 12:09 pm

I made a deal with myself that I would not vote for a third party candidate if I had to write or type the name in. I went to early voting, which is done electronically here in Texas, and clicked the write in option, thinking that perhaps there would be a drop-down list with all the "official" write-in candidates. There was not, so I backed up and selected McCain-Palin. Maybe we'll get a real conservative on the ballot to vote for in 2012...

Were there any constitutional amendments or additional issues on the ballot?

There were only two propositions from the city of Fort Worth on my ballot, both of them having to do with alcohol sales...

I just wanted to know if I needed to study any issues before I went to early vote. I'll either go after work today or at lunch tomorrow. Thanks for the info.

They usually keep the Constitutional Amendments off the presidential ballot. they will put them on the gubernatorial ballot, or on a special election.

Illinois is voting on whether to convene a constitutional convention. The last one was 1970.
