He grew up in Louisville, as did I. Here's a photo of us from 2005.

Are you sure that Jack Narz is dead? I got in trouble almost 9 years ago with Jack's kids for posting false information from a friend connected to game shows that he died.

Steve Beverly posted it in his newsletter. He also stated he is working on a final multipage tribute to Jack at the old TVgameshows.net site.

I got a note from Shokus about it:
Sad news to report - legendary game show host Jack Narz passed away this morning at the age of 85 after suffering two massive strokes in the last three weeks, as well as kidney failure.

Shokus Internet Radio will pay tribute to Jack by re-broadcasting the two-hour program I had the privilege of doing with him which aired live on April 4, 2007. It was a wonderful afternoon, filled with terrific memories and lots of phone calls from many of our listeners. Jack was truly amazed that so many people remembered him, and I was indeed proud that Jack had such a good time visiting here.

The program will air immediately following the live broadcast today (Wednesday, October 15). The live broadcast will air from 4-6 p.m. PDT (7-9 p.m. EDT), and the tribute show will begin immediately afterward at 6 p.m. PDT (9 p.m. EDT). Because we will switch from live back to recorded programming, listeners may have to open and close their audio browsers to get connected to the station once again and to the rebroadcast.

I am also aware that tonight on TV is the final presidential debate, so for those who don't want to miss that, the Narz tribute will also rebroadcast tomorrow (Thursday evening 10/16) at the same time - 6:00 p.m. California time, 9:00 p.m. EDT.

My guests this afternoon for the live show at 4 PDT - local L.A. legends themselves - Tom Hatten and Jimmy Weldon - both knew Jack personally, and I'm sure they will have some thoughts to share at the beginning of the show today as well.

Please join us as we pay our respects to a true TV pioneer...a true legend, who will be sorely missed.
