I played golf today!

#1 Post by christie1111 » Sat Oct 11, 2008 7:10 pm

I had a personal goal of not losing any balls into water.

And I was doing sooooo well.

Until the last water hazard.

Damn it.

I take it you don't often play golf?

I have never played any kind of golf that didn't involve brightly colored balls, Astroturf, and tiny windmills.....

I don't play that often, but we do play this one charity outing every year as a family.

And it was beautiful here today.

Me too...81 n a course that used to flummox me to no end...of course, there's a catch--I now play from the senior tees.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr :(

I think we are finished for the year. I did play Tuesday, but rain today and maybe snow tonight. Course closes the 21st, but I doubt the weather will be good enough to allow us out one more time.

Nice round Buff, how old are you anyway? :D :D

Heya Kusch--I turn 50 is three weeks (Halloween along with TMITSSS)...the whites at this course are 6400 and the senior tees of about 6000--much more appropriate for my game.

They close the courses up there for the winter!?!?!?

Squirrels are the architects of forests, the planters of trees, nature's own acrobats and show a zest for life that can inspire us. Every day should be National Squirrel Appreciation Day!

Many of these (squirrel) migrations were probably caused by food shortages as well as habitat overcrowding. We solved that for them. We not only reduced their habitat, we reduced the whole species by about 90%. The least we can do now is share a little birdseed with them.

What kind of club is that dude using on the 12th green?

Aww, that is so cute! I like all the little details. The squirrel with its tongue stuck to the pole is a nice touch.

It is snowing here, btw! YAY!

All you gotta do is play on a course with no water or sand traps.
